Into the Heart of Kenya: A 9-Day Maasai Mara & Amboseli Safari Experience
Make Your Safari Travel Dream Becomes Real
There are trips you enjoy… and trips that change you.
When you are standing on African soil for the first time, breathing in the warm, earthy air, hearing distant bird calls echo through the trees, you realize quickly that this isn’t just another vacation. This is a journey into the raw, untamed heartbeat of the planet.
Our 9-day safari itinerary through Kenya’s legendary Maasai Mara and Amboseli National Park is everything you imagine a safari will be, and somehow even more. From small bush camps inspired by the romance of Out of Africa, to lions calling in the night, to elephants silhouetted against Mount Kilimanjaro, this is an experience that will leave you forever changed.

Why This Safari Is Truly Once in a Lifetime
Some destinations feel iconic because you’ve seen them in photos. The Maasai Mara and Amboseli feel iconic because you’ve seen them in documentaries, films, and childhood dreams.
The Maasai Mara is widely regarded as the greatest wildlife reserve on Earth — home to enormous lion prides, elusive leopards, cheetahs in full sprint, and vast herds of zebra and wildebeest stretching to the horizon. This is where Big Cat Diaries was filmed. Where National Geographic stories come to life. Where the circle of life plays out in real time, just meters from your safari vehicle.
Amboseli, on the other hand, is famous for something equally breathtaking — intimate encounters with massive elephant herds, including the famed Tuskers, often with snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro towering in the background. It’s one of the few places in Africa where you can watch fifty elephants move together through golden dust at sunset.
Together, these two parks create the perfect safari pairing:
Big cats and endless plains.
Elephants and dramatic mountain backdrops.
Remote wilderness and deeply personal moments with nature.

Soaking in The Sights, Sounds, and Feeling of Being on Safari
Safari isn’t just about what you see, it’s what you feel.
It’s the rumble of a Land Cruiser over dirt tracks at dawn.
The scent of acacia trees warming in the sun.
The hush that falls when your guide spots movement in tall grass.
The adrenaline when a cat steps into view.
The laughter around a fire at night as stars blanket the sky.
The distant whoop of hyenas as you drift to sleep in your tented camp.
Time slows. Phones disappear. The world becomes wonderfully simple again: sky, earth, animals, and awe.

Day-by-Day: The Safari Journey
Day 1: Welcome to Africa
Arrive in Nairobi and you'll be met at the airport and whisked away to the leafy Karen district, settling into a private house inspired by the Out of Africa era. A peaceful place to shake off jet lag and soak in the first feeling of Africa before the adventure truly began.

Days 2–5: The Legendary Maasai Mara
A short scenic flight delivers you straight into the wild, landing on a tiny bush airstrip surrounded by endless plains.
For the next four days, your routine became simple and wonderful:
• Early morning game drives as the sun rises over misty grasslands
• Packed breakfasts enjoyed in the bush
• Lazy lunches (and a nap) back at camp
• Afternoon drives chasing golden-hour sightings
• Candlelit dinners under a sky overflowing with stars

Each day brings something new: a cheetah scanning the horizon, elephants crossing a river, lion cubs tumbling over each other or running from mama, and giraffes silhouetted against sunset.
There’s a reason the Maasai Mara is considered the greatest safari destination on earth. You don’t just watch wildlife here, you get to witness nature’s greatest theatre unfolding around you.

A Hot Air Balloon Safari Over the Mara
If there is one moment that defines “bucket list,” this is it.
Just before sunrise, climb into a hot air balloon basket and silently lift above the savanna. Below you, rivers wind through grasslands, herds move like living brushstrokes, and the Mara glowing gold in the morning light.
An hour later, land in the bush and you are treated to a Champagne breakfast set among tall grasses, one of those surreal travel moments you’ll talk about forever.

Days 6–7: Amboseli’s Elephants and Kilimanjaro Views
After one final morning drive in the Mara, you'll board another small plane, trading endless plains for a unique mountain horizon.
Amboseli greets you with wide open spaces, shimmering swamps, and elephants…everywhere. Dozens of herds moving gracefully across the park, dust swirling around their feet, tusks catching the afternoon sun.
And then there’s Mount Kilimanjaro. When clouds clear, the sight of Africa’s highest peak towering above the savanna is something you never forget.
Here, game drives feel intimate. Closer. Slower. Every encounter is personal as your guide shares their world with you.
Day 8: A Gentle Landing Back to Reality
All adventures must come to an end, but not before one last morning in the wild.
After breakfast and a morning game drive, and a return flight to Nairobi, where a dayroom awaits you at a hotel near the airport. A place to shower, rest, enjoy a rooftop pool, and quietly reflect on everything you have just experienced as you prepare for the journey home.
By evening, board your flight home, carrying dusty shoes, full memory cards, and hearts forever connected to Kenya. You'll already be ready to book your journey back.

Kenya Stays With You

Kenya stays in your soul.
